ITC Tosi students interact with the Czeck Republic, Turkey and Spain.

Comparison of traditions within European boundaries

A mosaic of cultures called Europe. Made of 80 students from ITC E. Tosi, just back from the last conference meeting of a two-years project, held in Ibiza (SP).
It’s the Comenius project “Tales of Europe”, whose participants, besides ITC E Tosi, are 3 schools from the Czeck Republic, Spain and Turkey. Whereas during the first year the students analysed their countries’ tales, the core of the second year project were traditions and  celebrations, both at national and local level.
“By meeting young people from other countries, we’ve come across cultural and social differences, but all this makes us understand  that diversity is richness” is Elisabetta’s comment.
“During the last meeting in Busto Arsizio, our partners showed wide interest and curiosity, thus living together for several days, showing them around and illustrating our habits was great.” This the remark by another student, Linda.
One of the project result is a blog: talesofeurope.blogspot.com which gathers the work results, all the main celebrations of the countries involved in the project and the traditional tales, besides the events and the initiatives related to the project and its outcomes.
